A message from Danny

Well the Summer has been late in coming and my season is just starting. I'm looking forward to many warm days on the course. Tomorrow is a qualifying round for the PGA fourball championships with my partner Liam James. Has your season has started well? Please contact me if you need and help and advice on your game. Well the season is around the corner and so is the US Masters. With an update on my own game after the winter practice and getting my equipment sort I spent some time yesterday hitting shots around the pitching green at The Academy. These shots were shots you find yourself getting, in a round but not the ones you generally don't practice. I was a little rusty but surprised myself. All golfers should be doing this, not just hitting 7 irons and drivers on the range!

So tournaments entered and I am looking forward to getting out on the course again with my first tournament this Wednesday. I am sure I will be a little nervous as we all are. Let's play GOLF !
Whilst many golfers find themselves playing golf through the winter months with multiple layers on, the backswing becomes short of a full shoulder turn. This results in a shot to the right! Make sure this turn in complete.
Practice with purpose! Go to the range or practice area with a goal of working on a particular shot or techniques. Then stick to it. Making sure you use the same routine in practice as you do on the course. If it doesn't work go and see your local PGA professional
